After fueling speculation that he may not seek another term in office, Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) finally confirmed Tuesday that he will seek re-election.
LePage made the announcement at a private fundraiser in Kennebunk, Maine hosted by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), according to the Maine Sun Journal. Republican state Sen. Andre Cushing attended the fundraiser and confirmed LePage’s announcement.
The outspoken LePage turned heads last month when he suggested that he may launch a U.S. House bid. Days later, he ruled out a Congressional run but said he may not run in the state’s gubernatorial race next year either.
