President Obama and Zach Galifianakis are going to have to do a little better if they want to get a laugh out of Louie Gohmert.

Sure, the tea party congressman thought the president’s appearance on “Between Two Ferns” had its moments — but Gohmert said there were other times when the gag fizzled.

“Some was funny, and some of it really died,” Gohmert said, according to the Washington Examiner. “It wasn’t as funny as it could have been. They could have made it a little funnier sketch I thought.”

But unlike fellow Texas Congressman Randy Weber, Gohmert — who’s been cordial with Obama in the past despite his incendiary attacks against the administration — doesn’t begrudge the president for doing the segment with Galifianakis.

“I don’t criticize the president for doing it,” he said. “I don’t have a problem if somebody wants to be tongue-in-cheek, and actually, Zach’s a pretty funny guy.”
