South Carolina state Sen. Lee Bright (R) is by branding himself “THE pro-gun candidate” in his primary challenge to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) by raffling off an AR-15 rifle.
“I know the anti-gun media may hate it,” Bright said in a fundraising email Thursday, as quoted by the Greenville News. “I know the political talking heads may sneer as they continue blaming guns and law-abiding gun owners for the acts of thugs and madmen. But I am THE pro-gun, pro-Constitution candidate in this race for the U.S. Senate — and I can’t think of a better way to get that word out than by giving away a brand new AR-15.”
Entrants can sign up for the raffle on Bright’s website before Feb. 15, but must be 18 years of age or older to win. The winner must also pass a background check.
