Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) endorsed Mark Sanford in his bid for the state’s 1st congressional district on Wednesday, just one week before the former South Carolina governor squares off against Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch in a special election.
Graham, who also faces re-election in 2014, characterized his endorsement as an effort to hold the House of Representatives in the Republican column as the “last line of defense against the Democratic agenda.”
The Obama Democrats already control the Senate, making the House of Representatives the last line of defense against the Democratic agenda.

Let’s not forget that when the Democrats controlled everything, we got #ObamaCare and trillions in new debt. #sc1 @marksanford

The bottom line is that no Republican or conservative independent can afford to sit on the sidelines for this race. #sc1
