Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) introduced a bill Tuesday that would ban the sale and manufacture of ammunitions magazines that contain more than 10 rounds, Politico reports.

The limit on magazines would renew an element of the assault weapons ban, which expired in 2004. Since then, it has become legal to produce and sell high-capacity magazines.

Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) introduced the bill in the House.
