Larry Wilmore took aim at vaccine trutherism on Tuesday’s edition of “The Nightly Show,” in light of a measles outbreak in California that has led to at least 85 cases in 7 states, according to CBS News.

“Kidding aside, let me tell you why this story is so frustrating,” Wilmore said, pointing out that measles still claims 400 lives a day in developing countries.

“We’re all familiar with ‘First World Problems,” the host said. “Like when I have to turn on the subtitles on Netflix because I’m eating Doritos too loudly.”

Vaccine trutherism falls into this category, Wilmore said.

“We took a problem that we had nearly eradicated and made it ultra-revelant again,” he said.

“Measles is now the Matthew McConaughey of infectious disease,” the host quipped.
