The Los Angeles Police Department has launched a manhunt for a former cop suspected in multiple shootings, the LA Times reported Thursday. Christopher Jordan Dorner is suspected of shooting three police officers early Thursday, killing one of them.

The former police officer is also suspected of fatally shooting an Orange County couple over the weekend, according to the Associated Press. Dorner is suspected of killing Monica Quan, assistant women’s basketball coach at Cal State Fullerton, and her fiancé, a security guard at the University of Southern California. The couple suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the parking garage of their apartment in Irvine, Calif., the AP reported.

According to the LA Times, Dorner, who was fired from the LAPD for making false statements, wrote an online manifesto detailing his plans to kill law enforcement officers. “The violence of action will be high. … I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty,” he wrote, according to the report.
