KeyWifi is a New York-based startup company that aims to bring wireless internet access to the world’s 5 billion people that lack it by allowing current web users to rent out their connections when idle. On Thursday, the company launched a crowd-funding campaign to raise $20,000 to perfect its “front end” website, Betabeat reported. TPM has previously written about KeyWifi here.
