Kerry Healey, who served as Massachusetts lieutenant governor under Mitt Romney, praised his leadership in her speech at the Republican National Convention in Tampa Thursday night.
Healey’s message: Romney saved Massachusetts, and he can do the same thing as president.
“Massachusetts was in deep trouble. We had a massive budget gap and soaring unemployment,” Healey said. “Mitt Romney answered the call of service, and accepted the challenge.”
Healey also attested to Romney’s character. “First and foremost, Mitt is a good and honorable man, committed to public service and his country,” she said.
