Iowa state Sen. Joni Ernst, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate there, released an anti-government waste ad by comparing the ideas in Washington to the excrement found in a pig pen.

The new ad, released Wednesday, features Ernst standing on a pig farm talking about “too many politicians hogging, wasting…” and then Ernst is interrupted by a pig squealing.

“It’s time to stop spending money we don’t have and balance the budget,” Ernst said.

Earlier in the cycle Ernst released an ad where she argued her background growing up on a farm castrating pigs showed how she knew to cut government waste in Washington, D.C.

Watch the new ad below:

The TPM Polltracker average finds Ernst with a 0.7 point lead over Rep. Bruce Braley, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate.
