Conceding that it’s been “a good week for conservatives,” Jon Stewart on Wednesday drifted into uncharted territory when he found himself agreeing with his usual punching bag: Fox News.
Stewart said that in the wake of controversies involving the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice, conservative outrage over President Barack Obama “for once seems somewhat appropriate.” But Stewart had to hold his nose when he acknowledged that the right-wing trio of Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and Steve Doocy had legitimate gripes about the White House.
“You see what you’ve done to me, Obama administration,” Stewart said, wincing.
