John Oliver compared the guidelines that the U.S. employs for its use of drone strikes to Harvey Keitel’s balls during Sunday’s “Last Week Tonight.”

“We’ve all seen them,” Oliver said of Keitel’s balls. “And from, from a distance you think, ‘Well, I understand the contours of those.’ But if you were to really examine them, you’d discover that they’re actually lost in a haze of fuzziness and gray areas. Much like the rules for our drone strikes.”

Oliver harshly criticized America’s use of drones and the psychological impact those who live under the constant threat of drone strikes feel. To emphasize this, he played a clip of a 13-year-old Pakistani boy saying he no longer loved blue skies, preferring instead grey skies because drones don’t fly when the skies are grey.

“Congratulations, everyone,” Oliver cheered. “We did it! We managed to make one of the last remaining universal symbols of pleasantness – blue sky – completely fucking terrifying. We did it! Whoo!”
