John Edwards Trial Closing Arguments Set For Thursday

The defense team representing John Edwards in his corruption trial rested their case on Wednesday without calling former Democratic presidential candidate or his mistress Rielle Hunter. The Daily Beast reports that the Edwards defense team called just seven witnesses and did not put Edwards’ daughter Cate to the stand.

Edwards’ team wrapped up after just two days of testimony while the prosecution’s case stetched out over three weeks. Closing arguments are scheduled to being Thursday morning.
