On Fox News Tuesday morning, former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton, an adviser to Mitt Romey, went after President Obama for the way in which his campaign has discussed the death of bin Laden. Bolton said that Obama is taking credit for something he only played a part in.

I think what offends people is that instead of recognizing it as a national triumph and having everybody share in it, that the Obama administration has tried to make it look like the president did everything, including fast-roping out of the helicopter and pulling the trigger.

Bolton said that Obama’s suggestion that Romney would not have done the same thing — based on statements Romney made in 2007 — were “unpresidential” and “beneath the dignity” of the office.
