Comedian Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday mocked a Democratic congressman who publicly lamented the lack of fresh towels in the House gym during the government shutdown.
Rep. Bruce Braley (D-IA), a candidate for U.S. Senate in Iowa, complained on the Bill Press radio show Wednesday that there was no towel or laundry service in the congressional gyms, which have been kept open during the government shutdown offering only basic services.
Kimmel’s parody shows a group of congressmen standing in soaked suits and drying themselves with newspapers due to the gym’s suspended towel service.
“We go without towels, because sacrifices must be made,” one congressman says.
