James Murdoch will step down as chairman of BSkyB, the pay-TV giant of which News Corp owns a majority stake, The Guardian reports, confirming an earlier report. Rupert Murdoch’s son, James, was once News Corp’s heir-apparent, but he has been caught up in the company’s ongoing phone hacking scandal.
