Reps. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Elijah Cummings (D-MD) want a detailed briefing from the Department of Defense on the investigation into 12 members of the military allegedly implicated in the Colombian prostitution scandal.

Issa and Cummings wrote in a letter to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta that the conduct showed an “alarming lack” of stong character and sound judgment of uniformed military personnel traveling with the Secret Service.

The respective chairman and ranking member of the House Oversight Committee want a detailed description of the misconduct, a description of any laws or procedures that may have been broken and a description of the efforts being made to discover whether previous conduct has happened in the past. Issa and Cummings want a response by May 8.
