Instagram, the popular photo-editing and sharing application for smartphones that was acquired by Facebook for a whopping $1 billion in April, has crossed 80 million users, the company reported Thursday on its official website. That’s more than double Instagram’s 30 million users prior to the acquistion and before its release of an version for Android smartphones.
Instagram’s website also noted that as of Thursday, some 4 billion photos have been posted to the website, though it did not elaborate which of Instagram’s multicolored photo filters were most popular.
