Jon Huntsman weighed in on the payroll tax fight in Congress on Wednesday, touting the latest House GOP line to FOX News that the tax cut should be extended a full year. But he suggested that Republicans were getting outplayed by Democrats on taxes in general, urging them to push for a full comprehensive tax reform agreement as part of a deal.
“I think we are losing the high ground on tax cuts and I think thats a bad place for the Republican party to be,” he said. “I think they ought to vote for it, I think we ought to get something in return, and that thing we ought to get is comprehensive tax reform.”
