House Passes Bill To Override Defense Cuts 218-199

As expected, the Republican-led House on Thursday passed a bill that would shift defense cuts to programs aimed at mitigating poverty.

The final vote was a party-line 218-199.

The measure expected to die in the Democratic-led Senate.
