The House of Representatives adjourned Tuesday night after passage of the fiscal cliff deal without taking up Hurricane Sandy relief legislation.

“Heading to House floor to discuss GOP leadership’s refusal to bring up #Sandy relief vote,” Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said on Twitter late Tuesday.

The Sandy relief bill had already passed the Senate 62-32. By not taking action on the bill tonight, the House must wait for the new Congress to be sworn in, further delaying a final vote.
