Horse Drug May Have Entered Food Chain In France

British environment minister David Heath has told the House of Commons that a drug used to treat horses may have entered the food chain in France, the Associated Press reported Thursday. Eight horses from British slaughterhouses tested positive for phenylbutazone, a painkiller used on animals, according to the AP, and three of those may have entered the food chain.
