Attorney General Eric Holder reassured members of the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday that those found responsible by a federal investigation into misconduct at the Internal Revenue Service will be held accountable.

“Anybody who has broken the law will be held accountable,” Holder said.

Two “rogue” agents employed at the Internal Revenue Service’s Cincinnati branch were responsible for the “overly aggressive” reviews of conservative non-profit organizations during the 2012 election, acting commissioner Steven Miller said Wednesday according to CNN.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) condemned the improper targeting on Wednesday, demanding the individuals responsible be prosecuted.

“The IRS admitted to targeting conservatives, even if the White House continues to be stuck on the word ‘if,'” he told reporters at a weekly briefing. “My question isn’t about who is going to resign. My question is who’s going to jail over this scandal?”
