The conservative Heritage Foundation, led by newly appointed ex-Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC), will unveil a critical report on the costs of comprehensive immigration reform on Monday — in particular the “Gang of Eight” path to citizenship for the nation’s millions of undocumented immigrants.
“It will cost Americans trillions of dollars,” DeMint said Sunday on ABC’s ‘This Week.’ “It’ll make our unlawful immigration system worse.”
In a 11:30am ET press conference in Washington, the think tank will present “the staggering cost of amnesty and the detrimental effects it will have on the economy” and “how it strips the opportunities that attract the newest waves of Americans.”
