Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said on Monday that he was “pleased” by an immigration reform framework reached by a bipartisan group of Senators last week, adding that it was a “positive first step” in overhauling the nation’s immigration laws.

Reid added on the Senate floor that he was glad that Republicans were participating in the process, “instead of just complaining that the system is broken.”
