Following his party’s narrow victory on Sunday, Antonis Samaras of the New Democracy party has created a coalition government, which includes the Pasok Socialists and the Democratic Left, BBC News reports. Samaras was sworn in as prime minister on Wednesday. “Greece has a government,” Pasok leader Evangelos Venizelos announced. “New Democracy, Pasok and Democratic Left have taken on the burden of responsibility to re-negotiate the bailout agreement and [the job] of exiting Greece from the crisis,” he said.

New Democracy picked up 129 seats in the country’s 300-seat parliament on Sunday, with Syriza in second gaining 71 and Pasok and Democratic Left trailing with 33 and 17, respectively. All parties, with the exception of Syriza, have expressed a willingness to work with Greece’s European neighbors to remain in the eurozone. However, while they are committed to the bailout deal, they have said they want to renegotiate its terms.
