The website GovernmentAttic.org has published a number of FOIA logs from federal agencies requested last year by House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, the New York Times reports.

Issa began an investigation into how federal agencies were handling FOIA requests last year, but some civil libertarians raised concerns about Issa getting information about who was requesting what information.

It “just seems sort of creepy that one person in the government could track who is looking into what and what kinds of questions they are asking,” David Cuillier, chairman of the Freedom of Information Committee at the Society of Professional Journalists, told the New York Times. “It is an easy way to target people who he might think are up to no good.”
