Massachusetts state Rep. Dan Winslow (R) on Tuesday will make an announcement on his plans for the state’s special election to fill the U.S. Senate seat previously held by Secretary of State John Kerry, MyFoxBoston.com reported.
The GOP field is clear for Winslow if he ends up launching a bid, as former Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA), 2012 U.S. House candidate Richard Tisei (R) and former Gov. William Weld (R) have all opted against running in the special election.
