The Republican Governors Association has a new TV ad in the Wisconsin recall, attacking Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett on the day after he won the Democratic primary to face GOP Gov. Scott Walker.
“With Mayor Tom Barrett in charge, things in Milwaukee are looking up — Milwaukee taxes are up with Barrett,” the announcer says. “Government spending is up with Barrett, too. And Milwaukee unemployment is way up with Tom Barrett. Job losses under Tom Barrett are so devastating, that Milwaukee became one of America’s ten worst cities for unemployment.
“Now Barrett wants to be Governor of Wisconsin? No thanks, Mr. Barrett — you’ve done enough damage in Milwaukee.”
