Google announced Wednesday that its experimental mobile payments tool, Google Wallet, now supports all major credit cards. Google Wallet, launched in September 2011, previously only supported Citi MasterCard PayExpress.
But now the tool — which allows Android smartphone and Nexus 7 tablet users to wirelessly pay for goods at major retailers using a technology called near-field communications (NFC) — “supports all credit and debit cards from Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover,” according to Google.
