In the wake of the successful, sell-out launch of its $249 Samsung Chromebook laptop, Google on Monday unveiled an even cheaper laptop running its Chrome operating system: The $199 Acer C7 Chromebook will be available starting Tuesday online on Google Play and on the retail websites and in stores of Best Buy in the U.S. But it runs with less battery life (3.5 hours compared to 6 for Samsung’s Chromebook) and more onboard memory (320 GB hard drive compared to 16 GB solid state drive on the Samsung Chromebook).
