Google subsidiary Zagat on Wednesday announced it was offering a 50 percent off discount on 2013 editions of its Zagat restaurant guidebooks, the physical paper kind, through Google Offers, the company’s daily deals and discounts service (competitor to LivingSocial and Groupon).

Google acquired Zagat in 2011 for the sum of $151 million and has since integrated the 30-point Zagat score for businesses into Google Plus, the search giant’s social network.
