Google Deprecates Support For MS Office “.Doc” In Google Drive

Come October 1, Google Drive (formerly known as Google Docs) will no longer allow users to save files to their PCs under the Microsoft Office 1997-2003 extensions “.doc,””.xls,” and “.ppt,” the company announced on Wednesday. Google Drive will still allow users to upload files saved under these extensions, however, a Google spokesperson clarified to TPM.
