According to a Pew Research survey, global support for Barack Obama’s foreign policy has fallen steeply. The sharpest decline in support came from China where favorability fell from 57% to 27%. US drone strikes were strongly opposed in almost all of the 21 countries surveyed. Despite the dip in international support, Obama’s favorability remained strong among US allies, especially in Europe. Richard Wike, associate director of the Pew Global Attitudes Project, told BBC News, “I think where you see the real disappointment is when you deal with specific policies.”
