Newt Gingrich told the Associated Press on Friday that he will stay in the race even if he loses the Alabama and Mississippi primaries. A Gingrich aide said earlier that the campaign would have to win both states to justify staying in the race.
“We’ll clearly do well enough to move on and I think there’s a fair chance we’ll win,” Gingrich said. “But I just want to set this to rest once and for all, we’re going to Tampa.”
