Newt Gingrich repeated his intention to stay in the presidential race until one of the candidates reaches 1144 delegates in Green Bay, Wisconsin Friday night. He said Romney could get there, in which case “obviously Callista and I will support him and I’m sure Rick Santorum will support him.” But, he added, “he has to earn it.”
Since he was in Green Bay, Gingrich used football to explain why he won’t drop out of the race now:
“If you’re a Green Bay fan … you expect the team to play every quarter of the entire season and not just decide halfway in the season that it’s too hard.”
