The Gingrich campaign sent a fundraising e-mail to supporters Saturday, reacting to the Nevada caucuses in which Mitt Romney is expected to score an easy victory.

The e-mail says in part, with emphasis in the original:

As happens with every election cycle, the news media is focusing on the horse race of the campaign, the negative attack ads, and process of this election cycle. The media has no interest in reporting on the most important part of this race: the solutions put forth by the candidates to address the problems facing America. And we all know that Newt’s the only candidate to put forth solutions bold enough to rebuild the America we love!

With the Nevada caucus held today, we still have 45 states to go – and they are going to come much more quickly. The Colorado and Minnesota caucuses are on Tuesday, just a few days from now. And we have Maine, Arizona and Michigan all before the end of February and Super Tuesday on March 6. The time is now for this campaign, and we are ramping up our nationwide infrastructure to win as many states – and delegates – as possible!

This is a reprise of the “46 States To Go” signs that the Gingrich campaign had on the night that Romney won the Florida primary. In fact, Gingrich does not have 45 states left to go — the number is 44, due to his campaign’s failure to qualify for the ballot in Virginia.
