Gingrich campaign adviser Kellyanne Conway said on MSNBC Monday morning that naming a running mate during the primary process was on the table:

It certainly is possible, Chuck. I think it’s wise to transport the voter into the first day, first week, first month, first year of the Gingrich presidency so we can get out of this process we’re in right now.

This comes amid reports that the Gingrich campaign is working on creating a joint Newt Gingrich-Rick Perry ticket — reports Gingrich spokesman R.C. Hammond has denied.
