If both issues appeared on the ballot, a huge majority of Americans would vote to impose term limits for members of Congress and do away with the Electoral College, according to a poll from Gallup released Friday.
A whopping 75 percent of those surveyed would support a measure to place term limits on members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, while only 21 percent would be opposed.
Meanwhile, 63 percent of American adults would support a measure to abolish the Electoral College and base the outcome of the country’s presidential elections on the popular vote compared with 29 percent who would vote against such a proposal.
