Two days after Frazier Glenn Miller was accused of killing three people at Jewish community centers in Kansas, the Southern Poverty Law Center released audio recordings of Miller’s 2013 calls to SPLC staff. In one of them, he claimed he had already “done a hell of a lot of violence on behalf of my race.”
According to SPLC, Miller wanted a staff member to appear on a radio show associated with Vanguard News Network, a white supremacist website with the tagline: “No Jews. Just right.” The calls were recorded by SPLC and released Tuesday.
They cover a lot of ground, but perhaps the most notable revelation is Miller’s assertion that he had already committed hate crimes prior to Sunday’s shootings.
“I’m too old now, but I’ve done a hell of a lot of violence on behalf of my race over the years,” he says in one recording, saying specifically that he had beat up black people. “Check my records.”
Asked by the SPLC staffer if he went to prison for those crimes, Miller says: “I went to court several times, but I never went to prison.”
In a separate recording, Miller encapsulated his worldview in one sentence: “Everything that’s killing us was brought about by Jews.”
