Taking some heat after calling California Attorney General Kamala Harris “the best looking attorney general,” President Barack Obama found unlikely allies on Friday over at “Fox & Friends.”
While many contended that the remark reeked of sexism, the Fox News trio, who spend most mornings bashing Obama, uncharacteristically defended the President.
“Yeah, big deal. Yeah, she is. She does happen to be good lookin,” Gretchen Carlson, the lone female host, said. “I just think we’ve come to a place in society where everyone is so ultimately sensitive that you can’t say anything anymore. She is! She’s pretty! So what?”
“She is pretty,” co-host Steve Doocy agreed.
He then joked that “if anybody’s going to be upset, it should be Eric Holder.”
Carlson said she may be inclined to compliment a “nice looking man” for his good looks if she sees one walking down the street.
“But you won’t grab his butt,” co-host Brian Kilmeade wondered.
“No, but that’s totally different, Brian,” Carlson said.
Kilmeade said he concurred with Carlson’s point. “When you see an attractive woman who happens to be very professional and smart, wouldn’t it be great to include she is very attractive in the rundown of attributes?” he asked.
