The BBC reports that Ehud Olmert, the former Israeli prime minister, has been acquitted by an Israeli court of two major corruption charges, but was convicted on a third, lesser charge. Olmert, who resigned in 2009 amidst the allegations, was found guilty of illegally doling favors to a business colleague, but the court found him innocent of bribery and false billing for foreign fundraising trips.

This is not the end of Olmert’s legal issues, however. While sentencing will not be handed down until a later date, Olmert still stands accused for his involvement in a separate corruption scandal, centered on property development in Jerusalem while he served as mayor.
