A naturalized U.S. Citizen in Florida was charged with an alleged plot to bomb multiple locations in Tampa using car bombs, as well as other explosives and an assault rifle, according to federal officials.

According to the complaint, Sami Osmakac tried to acquire “an AK-47-style machine gun, Uzi submachine guns, high capacity magazines, grenades and an explosive belt” from an undercover FBI agent. He also allegedly inquired about remotely detonating car bombs, and named night clubs and a local sheriff’s office as some of his intended targets.
