First lady Michelle Obama appears in a Spanish-language Obama ad explaining why it is important for Latinos to vote in the election. The ad shows an interview with Cristina Saralegui, a fixture of the Spanish media who endorsed Obama and spoke at the Democratic convention in Charlotte.

“Why is it so important for Latinos to vote in this election?” Saralegui asks Michelle Obama in an interview that is shown in the ad.

“So much is at stake,” Obama responds. “Comprehensive immigration reform. Making sure that health care is not repealed. Education – making sure that every young person in this country has access to good schools.”

The ad will air on TV and radio in Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.
