FDA Haults Orange Juice Imports Over Safety Concerns

The Food and Drug Administration has halted all orange juice imports in order to test the juice for fungicide. At issue is the chemical carbendazim. It’s used as a fungicide in some countries, including Brazil, which produces about 41 percent of U.S. imports, Bloomberg News reports. But it’s not approved for use in the United States.
