The Associated Press reports:
Democrat Kathleen Falk told supporters this week that political insiders were trying to “mow us down” and “swoop in and co-opt our movement” as she attempts to win her party’s nomination to take on Republican Gov. Scott Walker in a recall election.
Falk, the former Dane County executive, made the claims in an email sent to her backers Tuesday. Although it doesn’t mention him by name, it was a thinly veiled attack on her chief rival, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, who entered the race relatively late and who has been endorsed by several of the state’s biggest Democratic office holders, past and present.
