Facebook’s public policy manager Corey Owens announced on his Facebook page Friday that he’s leaving the company after three years and taking a job at Uber, the San Francisco-based company that makes a smartphone app for hailing cabs and private drivers. As Owens wrote:

“I’ve had an incredible three years at Facebook working with some of the smartest, most talented people I’ve ever met. I’m incredibly bullish on the future of the company, and specifically the amazing public policy team led by Marne Levine and Joel Kaplan. I’ll be starting my next adventure soon, moving to San Francisco to work with Travis Kalanick’s great team at Uber on reshaping urban transportation as we know it.”
