Facebook and Yahoo have released a joint statement confirming that the two companies have reached a settlement to their criss-crossing software patent lawsuits. The statement says the companies have agreed to combine forces rather than try and trip the other up, and will now focus on providing “premium media experiences” across both Facebook and Yahoo’s various websites and blogs, which will include new products and services for both “consumers and advertisers.”
Sources familiar with the situation told TPM that no money changed hands in the settlement.
