The early exit polling in the Wisconsin recall shows the extent to which Republican Gov. Scott Walker himself is the defining issue for voters, among both his supporters as well as many of his detractors.
CBS News reports that among supporters of the Democratic nominee, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, 53 percent said their vote was mainly for their own candidate, to 45 percent who said it was against his opponent.
For Walker, by contrast, roughly nine in ten of his supporters said that their vote was primarily for him.
