Ex-Commerce Sec. Carlos Gutierrez Quits Citigroup To Push Immigration Reform

President George W. Bush’s Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez is quitting his job as an executive at Citigroup to devote himself full time to advocacy on behalf of immigration reform. Gutierrez, who was a key advisor during Bush’s unsuccessful immigration push, recently announced he was creating a new Super PAC designed to give cover to politicians who vote for reform.
